About
About Commercial Pool Log
Commercial Pool Log started as compliance software for commercial pool technicians working under Wisconsin’s public pool code (ATCP 76). Building it meant encoding every chlorine minimum, pH band, testing frequency and closure rule — and talking with operators about how they actually keep records on the pool deck.
What operators wanted most was simpler: a clean, complete log they could print today. So that is what we publish — a free printable log built around the CDC Model Aquatic Health Code (2023, 4th edition), plus guides that answer the questions operators, managers and inspectors ask most.
How we write our guides
- Numeric limits come from the CDC Model Aquatic Health Code and CDC contamination-response guidance, and from state codes where a state is named.
- Where rules vary by state, we say so — and we always tell you to confirm with your health department.
- Pages show the date they were last reviewed.
- Our pool calculators show their formulas. Doses use standard stoichiometry (1 ppm in 10,000 gallons = 37.9 g of active chemical) and a carbonate-equilibrium model for pH. They are estimates — follow the product label and your code.
Sources we rely on
- CDC Model Aquatic Health Code
- CDC Healthy Swimming
- Wisconsin Administrative Code ch. ATCP 76 (public swimming pools and water attractions)
